Portrait of a
St. John Graduate
Every child is uniquely created by God, with different strengths, abilities, and challenges. At St. John, our goal is to equip and empower students to recognize their God-given gifts, grow in confidence, and use those gifts to make a difference in the lives of others.
Above all, we want our graduates firmly rooted in one unchanging truth: God's love is not dependent on what they have done, what they do, or what they will accomplish. They are loved because they are His.

We strive to have graduates who are...
Rooted in Christ
Confident in how God made them
Confident in Their Faith
Prepared for What Comes Next
Guided by Christ-like Values
Ready to Serve Others

Know Jesus as their Savior and find their identity in Him. Through God's Word, worship, and daily life at St. John, they develop a foundation of faith to carry with them throughout life.
Understand they were created on purpose, for a purpose. They recognize their strengths and areas for growth, embrace challenges, and learn from failures, knowing their worth is found in Christ rather than their accomplishments.
Can explain what they believe and why they believe it. They learn to understand different worldviews, ask thoughtful questions, and use Scripture to respectfully defend their Christian faith as they grow to make it their own.
Have a strong academic foundation, a curiosity for learning, and the skills to think critically, solve problems, and persevere through challenges.
Through discussions and opportunities to practice these virtues year after year, students learn to put Christian character into action. With Christ continually held up as their example, these virtues become more than lessons; they become habits for life.
Grow in confidence as leaders throughout their years at St. John. In our family-like school community, younger students look up to older students, who are given opportunities to mentor, lead devotions, serve, and set an example. They learn that true leadership is not about being in charge, but about encouraging others and using their gifts to make a difference.
These virtues include: self-discipline, respect, responsibility, integrity, humility, perseverance, compassion, gratitude, and servanthood.
Our Goal Is Not to Develop Perfect Students.
We want our graduates to recognize their need for a Savior and know that Jesus is that Savior, whose love never depends on their successes or failures. Secure in who they are in Christ, they can step into life boldly, knowing they were created by God on purpose, for a purpose, and uniquely equipped to make a difference in the lives of others.
