What is IGNITE?

Ignite is a fundraising auction where we’d love to have everyone involved! It is meant to be both a fun night out and a fundraiser for the school. This year the funds will go toward paying down our remaining building project debt of $250,000.

When and where is the auction?

The auction is Saturday, March 5th. It will be held at the Stables Event Center in Norfolk. There will be a fully catered meal from Black Cow Fat Pig and a cash bar.

What items can I buy at the auction?  We're just getting started, but last year, items included:

Nearly 100 items have been generously donated ranging in value from $20-$2,000+.

You can browse them on our website, www.StJohnBC.net/IGNITE. The list includes:

– Stays to Florida, Las Vegas, Deadwood SD, Longpine, Tatanka Golf Course and more!

– Exciting experiences such as a hot air balloon ride, an escape room,
glamping, a private plane ride, and more!

– Food items such as beef and pork, farm fresh eggs, grilling baskets

– Custom-made products, merchandise, and the list goes on and on!

What can I expect at the auction?

You can expect to have a fun night out with friends and our St. John Family! Here’s the schedule from 2022:

4:30 – Doors Open, browse silent auction items, cash bar open

   6:00 – Dinner is Served

6:15 – Entertainment, Magician Joe Cole will knock your socks off

7:15 – Live Auction Begins, time to bid on those larger, exciting items!

How do I buy tickets?

Online at www.StJohnBC.net/IGNITE. Tickets are $50 each and include your admission to the live auction, entertainment, and dinner.  There will be no physical tickets, once you are registered online, you’re good!  Call the church or school office if you need assistance.

If I can’t come that night, can I still bid on items?

Yes! You can still register on our website, without buying a ticket, and bid on the silent auction items. Bidding for the silent auction items opens February 19th and closes the night of the event, March 5th. You can bid on any device including your computer, tablet, or phone!

How much are the tickets?

Tickets are $50 each and include your admission to the live auction, entertainment, and dinner. If you’d like to be extra supportive and ensure you sit with people you choose you can also purchase a table of 8 for $500. Both can be done on our website, www.StJohnBC.net/IGNITE.

Dinner is catered by Black Cow Fat Pig and includes roast beef, chicken marsala, herb roasted potatoes, and green beans with almonds!

What is the dress code?

IGNITE is intended to be a night out.  There’s really no dress code.  Wear clothes that make you feel great!

Can I invite people outside of St. John?

Yes! The more the merrier! We would love it if you would find 7 friends and fill a table!

Can I sit with friends/family?

If you purchase individual tickets, there are no assigned or saved seats. You may purchase an entire table, which seats 8, to ensure you’re able to sit with people of your choice.

Why am I hearing silent auction and live auction?

We have so many good items to auction off! You can find a list of them, along with descriptions and pictures, on our website, www.StJohnBC.net/IGNITE. Some will be silent auction items, meaning you may place bids through your phone or computer to win. Bidding for silent auction items opens on February 19th and closes at the event on March 5th. Some items will only be sold on the live auction, with an auctioneer and all, the night of the auction, March 5th.

How do I get registered to bid?

Via computer: Go to StJohnBC.net/IGNITE.  From there, click the “Bid in Silent Auction” link.  There you can register for the event and begin bidding as soon as the auction opens on February 19th.

Via mobile: You can also download the “Handbid” app from your mobile device.  Search for the IGNITE event, and then register.  You may then begin bidding as soon as the auction opens on February 19th.

If you need assistance, feel free to stop into one of the St. John Ministry Offices, or call 402-675-3605 for help.
