St. John Early Learning Center teaches and practices the love of Christ through its service to families. Spiritual development is at the heart of the curriculum, both indoors and out. Our cognitive learning curriculum is utilized to honor Christ-centered learning. Our teacher provide daily worship, integration of Bible stories, and prayer in all aspects of the day.

Research suggests that the future success of a child's life is found in the quality of care in the first five years of a child's life. The quality of the environment and the accessibility of appropriate experiences at the right stages of development are crucial factors for brain development. Our classrooms focus on social emotional development, physical development, language, and the early stages of math and literacy skills in order to provide an environment that facilitates development of the whole child. Teachers use play-based curricula and assessment tools to track children in their development and build experiences based on the child's specific developmental needs.

Toddler

12 months to 2 years

Our toddler room builds on the social emotional skills of relationship-building and attachment. The teachers start working intentionally on a child's ability to self-regulate, communicate feelings, and problem solve. The teachers focus on emerging literacy and math skills and create intentional learning opportunities through the world around them.

Preschool

2 to 3 years

Social emotional development continues through our preschool classroom in order to further develop self-regulation skills and help them to be successful problem solvers. Teachers create learning opportunities to further literacy and math development. Theme based centers, art projects, fine and gross motor activities, circle time, small group instruction, and so much more help the teachers to build a passion and love for learning.

Pre-Kindergarten

4 to 5 years

Our program offers children the opportunity to grow socially as well as cognitively. We have different experiences for every child from daily bible lessons to literacy training. We also offer early math and science education.

In this room, we use a play-based curriculum. It’s comprehensive, research-based, research-proven, and it features exploration and discovery as a way of learning. Teachers aid the children in project-based investigations and make every moment of the day meaningful, intentional, and engaging.

School-Age

5 to 13 years

Our before- and after-school program is not only a place for children to get help with homework. Our teachers carry on the integration of social emotional development and problem-solving while creating an environment of inclusion and relaxation after a long day of school. We also offer a summer care program that includes a variety of fun activities, including field trips, swimming, and much more.

Infants

6 weeks to 12 months

Our infant classroom focuses on relationship building with teachers by providing an environment in which children feel safe and secure. The teachers sing and read stories through the day, help children to continue to develop fine and gross motor skills, help them to learn self-regulation tools, and provide a healthy routine of secure attachment by meeting the children's needs. Our infant classroom is breastfeeding-friendly.
